AUSSTELLUNG LAIBACH KUNST - REKAPITULACJA 2009

26th of May - 30th of August 2009 @ Muzeum Sztuki in Łodz, Poland

In 10 exhibition rooms Laibach presented the 10 Items of Covenant, 10 statements, 10 different installations. The exhibition returned to the group's beginnings in 1980 and span different time periods. Curators of this Polish exhibition were Wiktor Skok and Krzysztof Lach. 

Laibach created some significant exhibitions between 1980 - 1985 and subsequently stepped out of the galleries, exhibiting only sporadically at different occasions, so this exhibition was a great opportunity to draw a line and examine the other, less known, but equally important side of Laibach.

The day after the opening of exhibition Laibach also perform the LAIBACHKUNSTDERFUGE program in the Filharmonia Łodzka im. Artura Rubinsteina.

LAIBACH: Return of the Repressive

1st September -3rd September 2006 @ Custard Factory in Birmingham (UK)

In collaboration with Capsule and Cold Spring Records, I.C.R.N. - Industrialised Culture Research Network presented Return of the Repressive at Custard Factory in Birmingham (UK) from September 1st till September 3rd 2006.

September 1st - opening of the LAIBACH KUNST inhibition Instrumentality of the State Machine with a live premiere of the "Laibach Concerto for Magnetophone, Gramophone, Radiophone and Megaphone"

September 2nd - screenings of rare industrial video material plus a Mutefilm screening, including Laibach videos and the British premiere of Saso Podgorsek's Laibach U.S. tour documentary [Divided States of America]

September 3rd - ICRN seminar featuring guest speakers and a presentation of Interrogation Machine, Alexei Monroe's book on Laibach and NSK

LAIBACHKUNSTDERFUGE

Konzert für das Kreuzschach und vier Schachspieler

1st June 2006 @ Werk II in Leipzig, Germany

On June 1st 2006 the world premiere of  Laibach's interpretation of Bach's Kunst der Fuge was held in Leipzig at [Werk II].

A 90 min surround sound performance, titled as Konzert fuer das Kreuzschach und vier Schachspieler, was dedicated to Bach, Schoenberg, Kraftwerk, Capt. George Hope Verney, Fisher and Spaski.

Instrumentality of the State Machine

10th - 24th February 2006 @ KiBela in Maribor (SLO)

Sound installation LAIBACH KUNST: Instrumentality of the State Machine was on view at KiBela Gallery of KIBLA Multimedia centre in Maribor (Slovenia) from February 10th till February 24th.

Oscillations - 30 days of sound

8th December 2005 - January 8th 2006 @ Mala galerija in Ljubljana (SLO)

A series of sound events, performances, sound installations, workshops and lectures, called "Oscillations - 30 days of sound" took place at the Mala galerija in Ljubljana from December 15th 2005 till January 15th 2006.

Laibach Kunst's sound installation Instrumentality of the State Machine was exhibited from the 28th December until January 8th.
